LUCY SWIFT

Transient Sky

Lucy Swift’s work highlights aspects of transparency, light and colour through exploration on the sky and how it forms a transient, ephemeral space with a focus on the colour blue. Olafur Eliasson's Weather Project and Barbara Kasten’s experimental photographic works inspired her focus on colour perception and spatial alteration. With a focus on blue, highlighting the subtle changes in a day, her work progressed in the form of projections and the application of mirror film, the intention being to alter space. This ultimately creates a dialogue between the space and the viewer in which the work is to be experienced.
