I’m inspired by the women around me. I’m lucky to be surrounded with some of the most empowered, free-spirited and inspirational women. I realised when researching project ideas that there wasn’t a specific magazine that targeted this demographic. There are zines with a focus on travel, female sport or wellness, but none that fully encapsulated some key interests of this demographic.
The research that I conducted throughout the creation of Wild Ones allowed me to form knowledge of the future of publication and printing practices. As an example, the e-commerce element was an idea I introduced when analysing my target audience, who highlighted the need for ease of purchase. Having an e-commerce site linked to the zine removes the element of having to search for products, thus speeding up the customer’s path to purchase.
