BA (HONS) FILM
BA (Hons) Film is an exciting filmmaking programme that provides a platform for students to explore the key aspects of film production. From cinematography to production design, directing to editing and sound design, we examine a wide range of practical craft skills and theoretical approaches to film.
Students have the opportunity to experiment with film form, and to write and shoot their own individual film projects. They can make everything from narrative, documentary, experimental, music video, sports films and vertical content, to more art focused projects and installations. Students also take on professional client briefs throughout the course, and work in crews on large scale film sets, taking on a particular specialism. This range of hands-on opportunities ensures they acquire an accomplished portfolio of skills and experience.
The student films exhibited here are supported by press packs and marketing material, and will be submitted to a variety of international film festivals and awards, such as Aesthetica, Encounters, Raindance, Lift-Off, Royal Television Society and others as selected by the individual student.
