EMMA BENNETT

Question: How can phenomenological analysis present new meanings of bodily experiences in a material landscape, exploring the relationship of temporality and landscape through painting?

Emma Clare Bennett’s creative process is informed by a bodily experience in place, gathering material and experiential information of the places she passess through and using this as a method for painting. Emma experiments with site specific materials as a medium. This introduces a new and highly specific relationship to place, asserted in which the concepts of experience become materialised through the transformation of the materials from the Cornish Landscape.
