DANIELLE FRENCH

The Feminine Side is a collection of prints that have been inspired by Terrazzo.

I have drawn influence from minimalist artists as well as lesser-known contemporary artists to create a collection of abstract prints for mens shirts.

The title of my work, The Feminine Side, refers to my colour palette, which was inspired by feminist photographer Agnes Lloyd-Platt, as well as the idea that colour should not be gender-orientated.

Men are often wary of wearing lighter, more pastel colours, in fear that they are too feminine, but with the move of feminism and gender equality, these views on colour should change.
